If you send us an e-mail message or an inquiry through our Web site, the information you send (including your e-mail address and other identifying information in the message header) will be forwarded to the appropriate office within Manufacturers Bank for response. We use the information you send us to respond to your requests, and we will maintain customary records of any resulting banking transactions. If you subscribe to our Business Improvement Series Web site, we will place a cookie (a small text file) on your computer and we will send you our monthly e-newsletter to alert you to new articles. The cookie will allow you to access Business Improvement Series articles without having to sign in, and will also log the pages of the Business Improvement Series Web site you visit, so we can determine how to serve you better. If you unsubscribe, you will no longer receive our e-newsletter. You may remove the cookie from your computer, but if you do so, you will have to sign in to access the Business Improvement Series web site. We maintain information about Business Improvement Series subscribers and other e-newsletter recipients, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and other identifying information that you give us if you subscribe. If you unsubscribe, we retain the information to ensure that we do not send you unwanted e-newsletters or other promotional e-mails.
If you register for the MasterCardSecureCode service with respect to your Manufacturers Bank Debit MasterCard, the registration Web site asks you for information about yourself and your Debit MasterCard. Our service provider uses the information to process your registration, and we or our service provider will maintain and use the information for subsequent MasterCard SecureCode transactions. The registration Web site places a temporary cookie (a small text file) on your computer, which will be removed at the end of your registration session, provided you exit normally.
Manufacturers Bank does not make your e-mail address or any other information you furnish by e-mail or through our Web site available without your consent to companies or persons not affiliated with Manufacturers Bank, except as follows:
- We may provide information to third parties, such as funds transfer networks, in order to complete a banking transaction for you.
- We comply with court orders, subpoenas and other legal process we determine to be valid, and we may provide information as otherwise required or permitted by law, including to bank regulatory agencies.
- We may provide information to credit reporting agencies and similar services; to investigators or law enforcement authorities in connection with a fraud or similar investigation; and to potential purchasers in connection with the sale of accounts, loan assets or business lines.
- We may provide information to contractors and agents who perform services for Manufacturers Bank and its customers, including auditors, attorneys, information services providers and others, to assist in performing their services.
Manufacturers Bank does not sell customer information gathered through our Web site to third parties for the purpose of marketing their products or services.
